Lifetime, hot of the "success" of 'Liz & Dick,' announced today that it will be creating a documentary that takes a behind the scenes look at Marchesa, the fashion house that was created by 'Project Runway: All Stars' judge Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.
The film, titled 'Project Runway Spotlight: Marchesa' will debut December 20 (a Thursday) at 10 p.m., after a new episode of 'All Stars'
The documentary will be a whopping 30 minutes in length and focus on the rise of the label. Stars such as Halle Berry, Eva Longoria and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will appear as talking heads, gushing over the label. The label dresses a lot of the Hollywood elite for their appearances on red carpets at awards shows, fund raisers, movie premieres, etc. The film looks to show viewers how the magic happens and how the design team creates "masterpieces." Several items that Marchesa has created are part of the "affordable" Target and Neiman Marcus holiday collection that is available for a limited time in Target stores.
Chapman has been a judge on 'All Stars' for two seasons now, along with Isaac Mizrahi and host Carolyn Murphy. She is also expecting her second child with her husband, film producer Harvey Weinstein.
