Entertainment Tonight has announced that CNN vet Rob Marciano will be co-hosting the show with Nancy O'Dell beginning in January. The spot has been open since long-time anchor Mark Steines left the show earlier this summer.
Since then, the series has brought in various people to serve as guest hosts, including The X Factor's Steve Jones. But now Maricano has been named the winner of the coveted spot.
“I am honored to be joining the distinguished and talented team at Entertainment Tonight, all of whom are the gold standard in entertainment journalism,” said Marciano. “For over 30 years, ET has been a powerhouse in the entertainment industry and to be part of that blue chip franchise is a dream come true.”
Linda Bell Blue, ET executive producer, said that “Rob brings with him a passion for news, a wealth of knowledge about the entertainment industry and an enormous amount of charisma that viewers have been responding to for years. We know he will be an outstanding fit for our show, our audience and the immensely talented Nancy O’Dell.”
Marciano was last seen on CNN, where he was a news and weather anchor, a position he held since 2003. In addition, he worked as a fill-in anchor and field correspondent during his nine years in Atlanta.
