The CW's "Arrow" is shaping up to be a can't miss prospect for the new Fall season. The most recent news relating to the DC super-series is the casting of Kyle Schmid as Green Arrow villain "Ace."
Ace heads up the The Royal Flush Gang, a band of card-themed villains who have popped up in comics as well as animated form in DCU series such as "Justice League Unlimited" and "Batman: The Brave and the Bold."
As far as details, producers are holding their cards closely to their chests. What is known is that the gang will feature prominently in the sixth episode of the season entitled "Legacies," which will find the villains behind a major bank robbery in Star City, and the hostages leaving the building wearing playing card masks. Given the series sneak peeks and interviews with the "Arrow" producers, expect this Royal Flush Gang to be far darker and grittier than previous incarnations.
Schmid can currently be seen in a recurring role as Henry Durham, vampire Aidan's "son" whom he turned during his World War I days. Additionally, he can be seen in a more notable role in the BBC's period drama series "Copper" as Robert Morehouse, wealthy and influential friend to the titular character.
