Charlie Day and his wife Mary Elizabeth Ellis have welcomed a baby boy into their life. The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars have named their child Russel Wallace Day. The announcement was made in People magazine. He was born on December 15th, and weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces.
Their It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars are already parents. Day and Ellis are now apart of the baby brood with Rob McElhenny and Kaitlin Olson. Their son Axel was born last year and they are now expecting their second child. Glenn Howerton is also a father, his son was born in September of this year. Congrats to all these wonderful actors and their children.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a top rated comedy on the FX network. It has found success in syndication on Comedy Central. The quirky comedy was developed by Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton. The pilot was shot for less than $200 and was pitched to various networks. Eventually it was picked up by FX. The first season ran for seven episodes and was picked up for a second based on word-of-mouth alone. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been renewed until the end of 2013. This would make it the longest running live-action comedy on basic cable.
At the end of the last season the gang attended their high school reunion. After being humiliated by the cool kids they enact a plan for revenge. At the end of the episode we get one of the moments the show has become known for in a glorious dance off.
No news yet on when the next season will premiere. The creators of the show, Howerton and McElhenney, are working on other projects. The good news is that the show will be around for two more seasons. It’s Always sunny in Philadelphia fans have little to worry about.
