Daniel Craig cast on Jonathan Franzen's Purity on Showtime

Daniel Craig is to star in and executive produce a straight-to-series limited drama based on author Jonathan Franzen's latest novel, Purity, which will be shown on Showtime.

The story follows a young woman named Purity who is looking for answers about herself and her family. She ends up interning at South America at the Sunlight Project, a group which deals with all the secrets of the world. It is a story featuring idealism, fidelity and murder.

Daniel Craig is set to play Andreas, a German provocateur who ends up crossing paths with Pip.
