Ampika Pickston talks about the new series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire. Ampika has lived in Cheshire since she was 18 and studied at the Toni and Guy Academy in Manchester and the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London. She now owns and runs her own exclusive beauty salon and spa. She has one son and is divorced, but remains friends with her ex‐husband. The Real Housewives of Cheshire returns to ITVBe on Monday 4th April at 10pm.

How does it feel to be coming back for a new season?

I am absolutely ecstatic. I am thinking to myself that I am actually more excited about this series than I have been about the previous two. It has definitely gone up a level this series, with the three new housewives – there is a lot more drama, a lot more glamour, and a lot more secrets revealed.

What can we look forward to from you this season?

Beautiful houses, fantastic wardrobes, a lot more luxury including private jets, boats, helicopters. Viewers will also get to see more of our lives – its not just about the businesses, but up close and personal, all of the problems that we all face. The tears, the heartbreak, the falling in love, the drama – so it’s all action packed.

How did your family react when you said you were coming back for another season?

My ex-­husband was very supportive, and he is coming back to the show full force this season. As long as I have got his support, that is all I’m bothered about

What has been your favourite thing about this season so far?

We went abroad – I can’t say much about that. There was a meal that was on a river and it was literally a night of everyone bearing their souls. Everyone was really exposing themselves and how they really feel about things – to me that was such a moving night. So far, that was the icing on the cake for me.

What do you think you bring to the show that no one else does?

I am very much the extrovert, I am the extremist, I am weird and wonderful, very passionate but also very ferocious. I am very very different to all the other girls. I definitely bring fire and the drama wherever I go.

What do you think it means to be real housewife?

Not being frightened of expressing who you are. A strong and empowered woman, with a mind and style of her own. Have all the opulent trinkets and possessions; a nice house, nice car, beautiful jewellery.

What has been the most memorable/funniest moment on the show or over the past 3 seasons?

Probably from this series, the most memorable for me was a very intimate scene with my ex-­husband Mark.

Which two other housewives would you take to a desert island and why?

I would definitely take Lauren as she would be my constant joker and source of entertainment. I would also take Stacey as she is a fantas2tic cook. She could find some beautiful fruit and cook me something fabulous.

Who do you think would play you in a movie and why?

I think I should be in a Bond film, because I think I am sexy, sassy, different, and I’m certainly hot.
