Kelly Overton and Paul Johansson cast on Syfy series Van Helsing

Kelly Overton and Paul Johansson have been cast on new Syfy series Van Helsing.

Kelly Overton will play Vanessa Helsing, a descendent of the Van Helsing family who must lead mankind against a world now controlled by vampires.

Paul Johansson will play Dimitri, the calculating leader of the vampires.

Other cast members include Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, David Cubitt and Tim Guinee.

The series will be shown in the fall.
