ESPN Anchor Stuart Scott Passes Away

ESPN anchor Stuart Scott passed away earlier this morning. He had been battling cancer on and off again since 2007. Scott was 49.

Scott was best known for his use of catchphrases such as "Boo-Yah!", "Hallah", and "Call him butter, he's on a roll".

Stuart Scott was born in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in North Carolina, where he attended and graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1987. There he received a Bachelor's Degree in speech communication. Although Scott's on-air career began when he was a student, he worked at local news stations in the Carolinas and Florida after graduating.

Scott landed his best known job in 1993 as an anchor on ESPN, and became the host of Sportsnight on ESPN2 where he worked until his death.

Scott is survived by his two daughters Taelor, age 19, and Sydni Scott, age 15.
