‘The Voice’ may still be battling through its seventh season, but NBC has already locked down the coaches for the eighth season of the singing competition series. Some familiar faces will be returning to ‘The Voice’ for season eight, as was confirmed this morning by Carson Daly on the ‘Today Show.’
The spring 2015 cycle of ‘The Voice’ will welcome back Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera, alongside regular coaches Adam Levin and Blake Shelton. Aguilera took a break from the red chair for the fall cycle to give birth to her second child, but this will be Pharrell’s second season in a row spinning the chair.
"We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition," says NBC Entertainment president of alternative and late night programming, Paul Telegdy. "These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high."
