‘Frasier’ alum David Hyde Pierce is heading back to television. For the first time in over ten years Pierce will be appearing on the small screen in a major recurring role on the sixth season of ‘The Good Wife.’
‘The Good Wife’ showrunners and executive producers Robert and Michelle King say they are excited to have the Emmy and Tony award winning actor on board for the role. “We couldn’t be more thrilled and flattered that David’s making The Good Wife his first TV role since Frasier. We’re tremendous fans of his dramatic skills as well as his comedy.”
Peirce will be exercising some serious acting chops with this role. He will be playing a high profile cable news legal commentator who decides to run for office because he is so affected by the corruption and murder rates in Chicago. He will first appear in the seventh episode of the upcoming season.
