FOX won Monday in all measures.
'MasterChef' rolled back down in week three, shedding two of the three tenths it gained last week, and coming in just above its 1.5 season premiere rating. '24: Live Another Day's own rise from last week proved to be brief, dipping two tenths to a 1.6.
NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior' continued the downward trend, falling two tenths to a 1.7. A special interview with potential presidential candidate Hillary Clinton failed to do much for ABC, earning only a 1.1. In a worrying sign, week two of 'Mistresses' tumbled down three tenths to a 0.9. That's not too bad for a summer series, but whether it drops next week will be the real test.
CBS '48 Hours' also dropped three tenths to a 0.9. The CW's 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' is showing signs of life, rising a tenth to a 0.6, matching a season high for the veteran improv game show. 'Beauty and the Beast' continues to make me wonder why it was renewed, earning a meager 0.3, down from the already anemic 0.4 drawn by last week's return.

PRIMETIME PROGNOSTICATION - Summer Edition
The five main factors I consider when making a prediction are thus:
1. Does the show win its timeslot, and how often? (CW shows are exempt from this criteria.)
2. How do the show's ratings compare to similar programs on the same network? (Self explanatory.)
3. How long has the show been on the air? (Veteran series are always more likely to get renewed.)
4. Does the show have any high-profile leads? (Never discount star power.)
5. How much does the show cost to make? (Approximately, exact TV budgets are hard to come by.)
