Prepare yourselves, folks, because Shulman & Associates is officially losing one of its staff members.
TVLine has exclusively learned that 'The Mindy Project's original castmember Zoe Jarman — who plays the naive, confidence-challenged medical receptionist Betsy Putch — will not be returning to the FOX hit comedy in a series regular capacity for Season 3. As of now, it's unclear if there are plans to have a new receptionist take her place.

But that doesn't mean fans won't still get the chance to see her around from time to time. While a show spokesperson confirmed the news of Jarman's departure, it was noted that she still “has been asked to guest star, so it’s possible that fans will see her next season.”
Perhaps her infatuation with Danny will finally reached some kind of conclusion. Or, you know, maybe not.
Aside from 'The Mindy Project,' Jarman's other TV credits include playing Poppy on 'Huge' as well as earning a few guest star appearances on shows such as 'Modern Family' and 'The Office.'
Since its series premiere two years ago, 'The Mindy Project' has made several different casting tweaks. And in light of this most recent change-up, the only original series regulars now remaining are Mindy Kaling (obviously), Chris Messina and Ed Weeks. Let's just hope that none of them plan on going anywhere anytime soon.
