Rosie O'Donnell is heading back to the small screen. On ABC Family, to be exact.
The network announced earlier today that the actress and former 'View' host will reprise her role as foster care worker Rita Henricks during the popular drama's second season. O'Donnell's character is described as being a tough, yet compassionate woman who works in the foster care system and grows close to Callie (played by Maia Mitchell) during her time at Girls United.

Little is known regarding what circumstances bring her back onto our radar, but fans can expect to see her make an appearance in two episodes this coming August. O'Donnell appeared in five episodes during the show's first season.
'The Fosters' — which recently won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series — is about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. It is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez, while creators Bradley Bredewegand and Peter Paige serve as the show's writers. Joanna Johnson is also an executive producer for the series.

'The Fosters' will kick off its second season starting Monday, June 16 at 9/8c on ABC Family.
