BBC FOUR is available to view on Freeview, cable and satellite. It was launched on March 2, 2002 and replaced BBC Knowledge. The channel broadcasts between the hours of 7PM and 4AM.
The channel shows a mix of arts and science programmes alongside foreign language productions. The channel also shows many old drama programmes first shown on BBC One. Current offerings include Doctor Who from the 1970's and the 1980's series The Day Of The Triffids.
Each weekday evening the channel shows a news programme called The World which takes a look at the news headlines from all over the planet.
As of September, 2006 the channel was attracting an average 0.4% audience share. |
