Nelonen was started in 1989, and at first it was only a local channel for Finland's capital Helsinki and went by the name PTV, but after a while that name was change to PTV4 and that lasted until 1997.
The 1st of May 1997, Nelonen was up and running in the form we can see it today and it is Finland's second biggest commercially funded TV channel. |
