Homeward Bound Telethon

In 2012, Haven From the Storm, a 501(c) (3) registered public charity, was established to support veterans, aid in their recovery, and provide assistance for their re-entry back into productive society. Haven’s mission is to raise funds to support charities that benefit returning service men and women, especially those who suffer the effects of post-traumatic stress injury and traumatic brain injury. Haven from the Storm’s central project is Homeward Bound, a national fundraising telethon to premier on the Military Channel on November 10, 2013 to raise funds and awareness for PTS and TBI.

Funds raised through the telethon will be allocated in the following ways: to organizations providing direct services to veterans suffering from PTS and TBI, to organizations providing education and raising awareness, and to organizations engaged in scientific and medical research in the field of PTS AND TBI.

Featuring, Co-host Connie Francis, Jason Gould, Kevin Spacey, Patti Austin, James Brolin, Jason Bateman, Ben Vereen, Michael Feinstein, Gloria Loring, Steve Tyrell, The American Military Spouses Choir, Medal of Honor Recipient Sgt.Ty Carter, Bette Midler, Henry Winkler, Mark Harmon and the cast of NCIS, Under the Streetlamp, Lou Diamond Phillips, The Temptations Review, and many veterans whose stories are both emotional and inspiring.
