Well in case some of you haven't heard, or live under a rock, Fox announced that they were cancelling King of the hill after 13 seasons. I'm a bit saddened by this, as koth is one of my favorite shows, but i'm also glad its ending, so it can die peacefully and not be as drawn out and unecessarily continuous as the Simpsons are.
Although i've heard ABC might be interested in picking it up, i hope that doesnt happen, i mean Scrubs should have ended 4 seasons ago so there was absolutely no reason for ABC to bring that back and worsen that already craptacular show that is worth less than the fattest part of my arse, so why overkill KOTH too?
anyway, I'm sorry to the fans of Scrubs, i really am, its not you, its just i HATE Scrubs ...if you want, i'll let ya cut KOTH down to size |

I don't think I'm ready for King of the Hill to end. As a Texan, I can relate to this show. I mean, it makes sense to me. As long as Mike Judge is on board and ABC doesn't think they can change the show or cast, we're good.
The Simpsons is one of those shows that has been around my whole life. It's going to be weird when The Simpsons ends. It's like the end of an era. It's something I've watched my whole life when my parents were fans. Granted, King of the Hill hasn't been around as long, but it's almost the same situation. It's been around for over a decade and that's hard to swallow when it's gone just like that. I think it's good ABC may pick it up because I don't think I'm ready to see King of the Hill go yet. Maybe we should cut the umbilical cord. I don't know.
I think if a star is slated to leave the show like Scrubs, cancel it. Not canceling is like putting a dead guy on life support. It's pointless. |

i dont want it to end either, colakid, but the simpsons has become somewhat more known for overstaying its welcome rather than being a great, & funny show, excluding the latter episodes and i dont want KOTH to suffer the same. i would like to see a spinoff, if possible. |

I will get over King of the Hill being canceled, eventually. I just like to tune into that show each week and catch the latest. I hate it when good shows get canceled because, all you have left is reruns. I will cry . . . or at least become emo when The Simpsons is over. That's a show that the past two generations have enjoyed and were moving into the shows 3rd generation of viewers. The Simpsons is like . . . American history and it's going to suck when we've seen all the adventures The Simpsons have to offer. |

oh i'm giddy just thinking about The Simpsons coming to an end. As much as i love them, they need to end. I'm waiting for the day FOX announces it wont be renewing the Simpsons, crap will hit the fan, and of course, that will be the end of FOX. Every show has to die, no matter how great they are, yes, even SP |

Why haven't I commented on this yet?
I'm surprised King of the Hill lasted as long as it did. I thought it would get the boot years ago to tell you the truth. Don't get me wrong though, I love the show and I'm sad to see it go too. But honestly, I haven't been keeping up with the new episodes at all. I watch the reruns (both on FX and FOX) almost every day though.

I wouldn't be too bummed out about it. It'll be sad when Simpsons are canceled, but they're one of those once-in-a-lifetime classics, like I Love Lucy. They'll still be showing the reruns 50 years from now.
Plus, FOX would go bankrupt without them, and we all know what kind of lengths FOX is willing to go to for money. |

Thats pretty sad on their part (Fox) that they are dependant on the Simpsons to keep them afloat, that and American idol. Eventually both shows will end. fox will prob end up like the wb. |

I'm old enough to remember when FOX was exactly like WB. They only broadcast on weekends and from 8-10. Then they added Fridays...then a few years later they added 2 more days until one day they could fill a semi-full schedule (they still have never had a 10 PM series). But I believe shows such as House can hold FOX above WB. Unless you believe they must have cartoons to be a real network? |

Fox would probably stay afloat after The Simpsons. And then once American Idol and Family Guy go it will end up defunct. The Simpsons will basically be a way civilizations study our culture in the future. |
