Yeah I agree with all that. But then you've got bands like AC/DC, where after Bon Scott died and Brian Johnson came in, they then proceeded to sell their top-selling record of their careers.  |

I may be alone on this thought, but I think AC/DC is better with Brian than with Bon. As you say, their best was yet to come and the band was still young. If they had recorded all their hits with Bon and Brian was just rehashing the golden oldies, then that would be a different story IMO. Van Halen was equally as good with both Diamond Dave and Sammy, although most choose one or the other. I think Sammy's had a better voice but I like the songs recorded with Dave better too. |

I have to agree. Although I think they should be called different band names, IMO, some singers were better than others. I didn't think of that. |

Yeah, maybe a name change would have been a good option. But then again, if they changed names with new singers, we wouldn't have known them as AC/DC with Bon Scott. (Anyone who didn't know that Dave Evans was lead singer for them before Bon Scott, raise your hand. Guys, my hand is totally raised right now!) |
