I thought it was a great movie. Ya, it is 3 hours long, and I did think it was a LITTLE boring at first. All in all, it was just one kick butt movie!
My favorite quote by Rorsarch: "I'm not in here with you! You're in here with me!!!!" awesome

The changed ending ticked me off. That ending was there for a reason and by taking it out and making it more "reallistic", you change the whole spirit and point of the story.
Good for people as an introduction to Watchmen, but it's not a movie for fans who "get" or respect Watchmen. The only thing it lives up to is Alan Moore's commentary on commercialism over message. |
Well said. This basically sums up my opinion.
It wasn't horrible, but it could've been so much better.

I thought it was okay, having not known anything about it before entering the theatre. The story was pretty interesting, the characters as well. I loved 300 and Sin City, so the stylized look definitely appealed to me.
What I thought was silly was the soundtrack. It seems like whoever decided on the soundtrack put their iPod on random and whatever came up they tossed into the movie. The "Hallelujah" song while Nite Owl and Silk Spectre got it on was just awful. And Jimi Hendrix as they're flying to Adrian Veidt's fortress? It's a good song but it just didn't fit.. I don't know.
That gripe aside I liked it. It's an epic movie, really. I'll consider it for a DVD purchase. |
