I absolutely cannot believe that you didn't "chop" the goof that dropped the beef on the floor and after not even washing it off, cooked it and served it to the judges. I made note of the restaurants that the judges own or have affiliation with and made certain that I would NEVER eat in them. How could you advance a chef that has such disregard for cleanliness or basic hygiene? I also am shocked that Ted Allen would not override the judge's decision on such a basic cleanliness issue. I wonder what "Food Detectives" would say about dropping uncooked meat on the floor then cooking and serving it? Perhaps the executives at the Peanut Company of America felt the same way before they distributed Salmonella-laced peanut butter. Don't you people know what an example you are setting for the American public? You've lost me as a viewer - It's back to Top Chef for me. I enjoy watching chopped. I can feel the stress along with the chefs. It takes me away from my own issues. I believe though that you need to replenish the food used in each segment. The chefs should not be penalized for lack of ingredients. The chefs should be given a tour of what and where the food and the plates are kept in the kitchen. I thnk you should have shows wher you bring back the chefs who were the first to be chopped to give them a second chance. I think Alex is the best.
