“Asian Treasures” was a very action-adventure TV series with plenty of mystery that began airing on 15 January 2007. This became the very first TV series in Philippines history to be shot in more than 2 countries as it was shot in China, Mongolia and Thailand. This weekday TV Thriller aired on the GMA Network at 7 PM and aired 118 new original episodes before going off the air on 29 June 2007. This series became the most expensive series ever produced by a Filipino company costing over 140 million pesos, which is equivalent to 3.1 million US dollars. The series involved the search for 10 anting-anting or powerful amulets late would unlock buried Asian treasures from the past. The series starred actor Robin Padilla as Elias Pinaglabanan/Susi/Diego, beautiful actress Angel Locsin as Gabriela Agoncillo/Emma/Abigail Mediran, actor Marvin Augustin as Hector Madrigal, actor Eddie Garcia as Professor Wakan U.
