Two Finalists Compete - Recap

Ryan Seacrest comes out and welcomes the crowd. This has been the first girl on girl finale since Season 3. Round one is Simon Fuller’s pick, round two is the would-be winning single and round three is the favorite song of the season.
Round one begins and Kree Harrison comes out and sings “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan. She shows she wants to win and sings it flawlessly.
Candice Clover comes out and sings “Chasing Pavements” by Adele. She shows she has what it takes to warrant the spot in the Top 2. Afterwards, the judges weigh in on the performances. Mariah says she is proud to be proud of the season because the talent is so magnificent. Randy says it is a good Final 2 and says he is not sure if the songs were not great. He loved the lower register of Candice. Mariah says Kree made it very nice and subtle.
Carly Rae Jepsen comes out and sings “Take A Picture” on the Idol stage. She shows she deserves the success she has gotten and continues to get in the music industry.
Round two begins and Kree Harrison comes out and sings her would-be winning single “All Cried Out”. She sings it wonderfully. Afterwards, she gets a standing ovation.
Candice Glover comes out and sings her would-be single “I Am Beautiful”. Afterwards, she gets a standing ovation. The judges talk about the performances and Nicki says she loved Kree’s composure and the song made her reach more and it was great. Keith says they are both Soul singers and the songs were tailor made.
The final round kicks off and Kree Harrison comes out and sings “Up To The Mountain”, a song she sang in Vegas. Afterwards, she gets a standing ovation. Keith says it was beautiful and says it was great. Nicki says her energy was amazing and says it showcased everything. Randy says it was a winning performance and he says she has soul and he loves it. Mariah agrees and says she looks beautiful. She says she gave them power and says it was a smart choice.
Candice Glover comes out and sings “I Who Have Nothing”, a song from Top 10 week. Afterwards, she gets a standing ovation. Keith says she is such a powerhouse singer and it was incredible. Nicki says Candice’s legs have made a debut. She says Candice is a superstar and she owns it every time. Randy says she can sing and says it is a winning performance. Mariah says she has the ability to turn any song into something that will surpass anything. She says she will be listening to her for a long time. That’s it for the performances!
