"America's Junior Miss" was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. More than 700,000 young women from across the nation have participated in Junior Miss programs at the local, state, and national levels. In addition to cash scholarships, Junior Miss participants are eligible for college-granted scholarships from nearly 200 colleges and universities.
In 2008, AJM celebrated the 51st Annual National Finals and proudly watched as Lindsey Brinton of Utah was chosen from her class of 50 bright and talented young women as AJM 2008. She impressed the judges with her vibrant personality and incredible scholastics, and won the hearts of all with her piano performance. Lindsey won preliminary awards in scholastics, interview, talent and fitness, and ultimately the title of AJM 2008.
Who will be crowned the next "America's Junior Miss", find out live on Saturday, June 27 at 7:00 pm central standard time on NBC. (Source: http://www.ajm.org/about/)
