"Amazing Adventures of a Nobody" was a documentary series shown in thew UK on Sky Three. What would happen if an English bloke embarked on a mission, travelling from New York’s Time Square to Hollywood, California with only $5 in his pocket?
How would he eat? Where would he stay? How would he travel? Better yet, would he make it?
The answers to all of these questions and more are discovered in Amazing Adventures of a Nobody!
Leon Logothetis was the host/presenter and star of this series who traveled around the UK on just 5 pounds a day. The 5 pounds had to cover food, lodgings and travel which reflected the average hourly wage, according to the Department of Trade and Industry in the U.K.. Leon had certain cities that he had to pass through and was only ever allowed to stay for 24 hours in each city. The 5 pounds could not roll over and had to be spent, with each morning being presented a new five pound note for each new day. The public could buy him things and he could work for goods, but was never allowed to be given money directly.
Amazing Adventures of a Nobody has been shown on numerous Television Channels including Sky Three, Sky Travel, Life One & Extreme Sports Channel.
