Rocio and Fernando were raised as brother and sister, but Rocio was adopted, and when they get older they see each other as not brother and sister and develop a romantic relationship. Rocio becomes a fashion designer, and Fernando moves to Mexico City for wealth and fame in the big city. He promises to return but he never does, breaking Rocio's heart.
