A Country Practice is one of Australia's longest running and most successful drama series. Set in Wandin Valley, a fictional town in South Wales, A Country Practice revolved around a medial practice, through which we learn about the residents of the small town. The town dealt with both good times and hard times, including death, illness, weddings, and romance. The series was also noted for dealing with controversial issues such as the position of Aboriginal people in Australian society and youth unemployment.
After 1,058 episodes, A Country Practice stopped production in 1993.
