The contestants include a woman who has a big grudge against her ex-boyfriend, a waitress, a candy salesman, a man determined not to fall in the water and a woman who has climbed up Mt. Whitney by herself. Obstacles they will face include Killer Surf, Barrel Run, the Spinner and the Launch Pads.

Some of the previous contestants on the show also return for a small chat about their life after Wipeout. Also, the Wipeout course will for the first time ever be seen through the eyes of contestants as John Henson wears a head-camera and takes you through the course.
