Fellig's Age: Yellow Fever in New York City
While the birthdate of Fellig's alias of L.H. Rice is 1849, his actual birth would be many years before that. Fellig discusses with Scully his brush with death when he had yellow fever during an epidemic in New York City. The last major outbreak of Yellow Fever in the City was in 1822, and the largest outbreak occurred in 1798. In all, there were several major outbreaks in the City dating back to 1668. More information on Yellow Fever in New York City can be found here.

"Don't look. Close your eyes.": "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose"
"Tithonus" sheds light on Clyde Bruckman's foretelling to Agent Scully on how she dies. In "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose", he tells her that she doesn't, which foreshadows what happens when, after she had been shot, Fellig tells her to close her eyes so that he may look at Death and take her place.
