Scully: You're so consumed by your personal vengeance against life, whether it be its inherent cruelties or mysteries, everything takes on a warped significance to fit your megalomaniacal cosmology.
Mulder: Scully, are you coming on to me? |

Episode Goofs |
| |
Although attack and consumption of children and small animals by alligators occurs quite often in the Everglades, animal experts in Florida agree that it is unlikely that one alligator could eat three large adults within a few hours. Also, these experienced handlers state that they have never seen a gator attack a boat the size that Mulder and Scully were in, nor have they seen one move as quickly as the one chasing Mulder through the woods. The gators' short and stubby legs make it impossible for them to have swift movement on the ground. | The scene of Big Blue resurfacing on the lake during the episode's final moments supposedly confirms to the audience that despite what Mulder and Scully are led to believe about the gator, the prehistoric creature was indeed the culprit behind all the deaths and disappearances. If this was so, wouldn't the moster still be devouring the townsfolk at a steady rate? |

Stoner & Chick: "War of the Cophrophages"
One would think that the male teenager in this episode would have learned the lesson of not doing drugs. One would also assume that the teenage girl would also have learned to stay away from this guy. The "Stoner" and the "Chick" were last seen watching their friend die from a really bad vision as he puffed away on some questionable narcotics in "War of the Cophrophages." |
