Episode Notes

Catherine Dent does not appear in this episode.

This episode marks Ray Campbell's last appearance as Kleavon Gardner.

No, that wasn't CCH falling down the stairs, but that was her at the bottom acting passed out.

Former NFL Coach/Fox sports commentator, Jimmy Johnson guest stars as J.J., the very vocal prisoner in the cage. When in the cage, he is shouting "Terry Needs To Be In Here, Not Me" -as in Terry Bradshaw from their Fox football show, similar to the way they would banter on that program. (pretty funny)

Paul Ben-Victor had previously co-starred with Michael Chiklis in the 2000 tv biopic of “The Three Stooges.”

Episode Quotes

Kavanaugh: I looked at the team's finances. You know what I found?
Ronnie: Yeah. ...Nothing unusual.
Kavanaugh: How did you managed to hide your dirty money so well? Huh?
Ronnie: The only money I get, is from my weekly paycheck.
Kavanaugh: You're trying to tell me that you didn't take just a little money off the side?
Becca: Why don't you provide some proof, before you accuse him of a crime?
Kavanaugh: Ronnie, you got any idea where Mackey cam eup with $65,000 in cash?
Becca: Don't answer that.
Kavanaugh: You said you wanted some proof.
Ronnie: I think you're bullshitting.
Kavanaugh: Vendrell, he's got money he can't account for either. So that means one of two things. Either, these guys, they don't include you in the bounty, which should piss you off. Or, you're the one guy, who's bright enough not to leave a trail. Which one is it?
Ronnie: You just said you checked my records and you didn't find anything. And I don't keep track of how the other guys balance their checkbooks.

Aceveda: Kavanaugh's case against you is a hell of a lot stronger than you think. (Shuts the blinds)
Lemonhead: Since when are you looking out for me?
Aceveda: He's holding back his trump card until he can nail all four of you. Turns out he reports directly to Chief Johnson, even the Mayor's office is involved. The city is comitted on getting its PR win with you guys. But ah, I could could broker a deal. Make sure jail time's knocked down to just one year.
Lemonhead: No-
Aceveda: Instead of the seven to ten you're looking at now.
Lemonhead: No way.
Aceveda: Look, all you need to do is give Kavanaugh something on the others. Something that will give the city its win.
Lemonhead: GIve him Vic.
Aceveda: He's dragging you down. And any of this "all for one and one for all" pep talk he's feeding you is a bunch of bullshit. (Lem turns away) Fine, but you gotta let me know soon.
Lemonhead: Look, when are you gonna get it through your head, I don't want your help!
Aceveda: It's just one year! Lem! Just one year for all of you, just one year for all the shit you guys have done!!! But if you're too stupid to take it, well then the four of you deserve everything you get!

Dutch: You accused me of letting you being sick get in the way, well now you're letting it. (Dutch walks to Claudette's other side) This guy, is a killer. And I don't give a shit how tired or weak or pained you are. If he walks today, he's gonna come after Fatima, or you, or some other woman. So you get back in there, and you close him!

Episode Goofs

When Claudette is talking to Kleavon, Dutch is watching on the monitor. After Tina and Julien leave, Ducth goes back to watch. For a second, the audio of Claudette on TV carries over into the shot of her int he room. Audio screw-up.

How did Ducth and Claudette manage to get a photo that quickly of Fatima being "killed"?

How in the hell is Reyes supposed to explain blowing a hole in the wall of a home without getting into trouble himself, let alone the Strike Team?

Cultural References

Claudette: Don't try to convince me that you're sitting there, because I'm some kind of Uncle Tom.

A quick reference to the book "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

Aceveda: Right, I'm also the fifth Beatle.

A funny reference to the "Paul Is Dead" rumors where Paul McCartney died and was replaced with the "Fifth Beatle", Billy Shears.

Episode References

While interviewing Kleavon, Claudette makes reference not only to the prior episode "Rap Payback", but also the conversations they've had in the Season 4 episodes "Insurgents" and "Back In The Hole."

While talking to Aceveda, Kavanaugh makes references to the Season 3 episodes "Mum" and "What Power Is..." As well as the Season 4 episode "Judas Priest."
