Episode Notes

Both Melora Hardin and David Denman have been promoted to starring roles as of this episode.

If you listen carefully to the office conversation after the "second base" talk, you can hear Jan continue to talk with Kelly about how Michael told the entire office about him and Jan.

When Jan comes down to dismiss the Union talk, she mentions that it was tried once in Pittsfield. She is mostly likely referring to the city of Pittsfield, Maine.

The warehouse has had 936 days without time lost by accident, which means it has been accident free for roughly two and a half years Considering the surroundings and the work being done, that's pretty good.

There are two uncredited actors in the episode who also work in the warehouse. Their names are Lester and Philip.

Episode Quotes

Dwight: It's a terrible idea.
Jim: What is?
Dwight: Them in there all together. They stay in there too long, they're gonna get on the same cycle. Wreak havoc on our plumbing.

Michael: Why can't boys play with dolls? Why does society force us to use urinals when sitting down is far more comfortable?

Michael: Pizza is the great equalizer. Rich people love pizza, poor people love pizza. White people love pizza, black people love pizza... Do black people love pizza?

Jan: Why don't we all go around the table and say something that we know we're good at? I'll start - I am good at public speaking.
Meredith: Hi, I'm Meredith, and I'm an alc... good at supplier relations.
Jan: Great. Phyllis.
Phyllis: I'm good at computer stuff. E-mails, spreadsheets, all that.
Angela: Really?

Dwight: Michael wants us to bond, so we need topics for conversation.
Jim: Ponies.
Dwight: No.
Ryan: How about rainbows?
Dwight: No.
Jim: Flowers.
Dwight: No.
Ryan: Makeup.

Angela: I'm not gaining anything from the seminar. I'm a professional woman, the head of Accounting. I'm in the healthiest relationship of my life. I just think it's insulting that Jan thinks we need this. And apparently, judging from her outfit, Jan aspires to be a whore.

Jim: How are the girls?
Pam: Good. We watched a video about our changing bodies.
Jim: Did you really?
Pam: No. (Laughs) Almost.

Michael: I feel ya dog.
Darryl Philbin: No you don't.
Dwight: Well, not literally.

Episode Goofs

Some of the boxes in the warehouse appear to be fruit boxes. Dunder Mifflin wouldn't be shipping fruit, so this may be an oversight on the part of the set designers.

Cultural References

Michael: Now studies show that today's woman, the Ally McBeal woman, as I call her, is at a crossroads...

This is a reference to the show, Ally McBeal, and the character of the same name.

Dwight: Remember on LOST when they met The Others?

Dwight is referring to the ABC drama, LOST.

Michael: (Michael writes down a math problem) In case there's somebody down here who shouldn't be.

The math problem (13579 divided by 8724) is taken from the film Good Will Hunting, which starred Matt Damon in the title role.

Lonny: Now that's a good question, Hasselhoff.

Lonny is referring to actor David Hasselhoff, famous for starring on the shows Knight Rider and Baywatch.

Michael: Darryl is actually the foreman here, and not Roy, which is cool... there’s Roy, riding the big rig... um so Roy is actually going to be marrying Pam sometime this summer, and she’s our receptionist, sort of a Brangelina thing.

"Brangelina" is a cute phrase that refers to the romantic relationship between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
