Episode Quotes

Dwight: Meredith, Men's room. Make sure you replace the urinal cakes, they're worn down. Kevin, file drawers. Angela, kitchen. And Oscar, dusting. Where is Oscar?
Angela: He's out sick.
Dwight: That's unacceptable.
Angela: I agree. It's unacceptable.
(The two stare at each other)
Kevin: What are you guys doing?

Michael: Why do I like Hooters? Well... I will give you two reasons: the boobs and the hot wings!

Kevin: Jim has got it bad for Pam.
Creed: Oh... which one is Pam?

Dwight: There are several different ways to tell if a perp is lying. The liar will avoid direct eye contact. The liar will cover part of his or her face with his hands, especially the mouth. The liar will perspire. Unfortunately, I spoke to Oscar on the phone so none of this is useful.

Pam: So are you going to be, like, totally awkward around me now?
Jim: Oh yeah... yeah.
(Pam laughs)
Jim: Hope that’s okay.

Episode Goofs

When Dwight was looking up Oscar's symptoms on WebMD, there is no way he could have gotten a response as quickly as he did with the symptoms he typed in.

Michael takes Jim to lunch at Hooters in this episode, yet there is no Hooters in Scranton. The nearest Hooters is 50 miles away, which is too far to travel during a typical lunch break.

Cultural References

Michael: (singing) Can you hear me? They talk about us.

Michael is singing "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's, though he mistakenly thinks it was performed by The Bangles, another all-female group that was popular during the 1980s.

Michael: We're not worthy! We're not worthy!

Michael is using a catchphrase from "Wayne's World," a Saturday Night Live skit featuring Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey, which was later made into a film.

Visual: Hooters Restaurant

Part of the episode was actually filmed at the American restaurant chain, Hooters.

Michael: It’s GRAAAAAPE! Soda.
Jim: Tony the Tiger.

Michael and Jim are referring to cereal mascot, Tony the Tiger - the cartoon character who represents Kellogg's Frosted Flakes brand cereal.

Episode References

Jim: Yeah, on the Booze Cruise, I told Michael about some feelings I used to have for Pam. I had just broken up with Katy, and had a couple of drinks, and I confided in the world's worst confidant.

Jim makes reference to his confession about Pam to Michael in the episode "Booze Cruise."
