Show Slang
Divination:
A school of magic he uses often throughout the course of the season, especially in the episodes Birds of a Feather and Hair of the Dog. He uses it to gather information about his clients.

The spell is cast after Harry gets a piece of DNA or a recently held object from a person, boils it up and uses a crystal to guide him to the person he wants to find. A very useful spell for a Wizard/ Private Investigator.

Enchantment:
This has been used partially in the episode Soul Beneficiary, it's what caused Paul and Harry to think they were married, and be docile when normally they would fight. Love potions would fall under this category.

This type of magic is used to subvert the wizard's will onto another person, making them do whatever the wizard wishes.

Grimoire:
A personal collection of spells, a spell book. In the episode Birds of a Feather Bob mentions that the formula for his 'Doom Box' was in his Grimoire when Harry burned it.

Hellions:
Hellions are demons that used to be human. They have the power of hellfire and can incinerate a human in seconds. Another devil or demon tempts a human into selling their soul and binds them with a Chain of Sin, which is how the greater demon controls the Hellion.

Summoning:
As in demons or other extra-planar creatures. Summoning, when done correctly, will garner the wizard a servant for a short time. However the servant is unwilling and if a mistake is made, it could backfire in a major way.

Thaumaturgy:
As seen in the Boone Identity and Soul Beneficiary, it is considered dark magic. Thaumaturgy involves messing with the life functions of another living being ie. Voodoo. Also referred to as 'Night Magic', and 'Black Magic'.

Whenever life and death/ undeath are involved it is considered Thaumaturgy. Also known as Necromancy.

Third Eye:
A drug 'made by the undead for the undead'. Popular in the Vampire underworld. It is said to give people 'the sight' or E.S.P. like powers.
