Similar to the pilot, this was another remarkably well done episode.
Watching several characters from the previous episode stumble upon each by pure luck was enjoyable. I was feeling for them as they're outsiders but now have a common shared goal. Their interactions bring you closer to understanding the and I enjoyed that. Unfortunately by the end of the episode they had already parted ways.
The mysterious sea creatures got a lot of on-screen time this episode, mostly because of Nimrod. Nimrod is the name given to the hatched creature. The most amazing thing unveiled about these sea creatures was not only that they are mammals, but the amazing recovering that the hospitalized scientist has. It's slowly becoming apparent that these creatures have some sort of electric interference abilities, as seen by the opening lighthouse scene and later while the carcass is being examined.
Just like the pilot, this episode starts and ends with a fast-paced story and leaves you wanting to watch the next installment.
