|
“Hollywood Babylon” is a very entertaining hour of Supernatural. It features more comedy than usual, but doesn’t lack on the mythology or supernatural happenings in exchange. The episode is chock full of hilarious dialog, jabs at Hollywood, and a bunch of in-jokes with the audience and itself (several jokes pointed at creator Eric Kripe are featured). Series producer McG also appeared in a cameo role in the episode, which was a nice touch. The episode is able to stay true to the series and feature a healthy dose of hauntings, ghosts and spirits, and the typical twist at the end. I’m typically one to enjoy the darker episodes, but an episode to lighten the mood of the series was a welcome change. Hopefully there will be more of that in the future.
