Sons of Anarchy is taking tv-shows to a new level. we have a lot of tv-shows with crime, revenge, murder, betrayal etc, but this show is intense! I'm writing this review just after seeing the season 1 finale episode, and it was great! they built up the tension, and closed the season with style. the first episodes were good, as they introduced a lot of "slang" and terms used in motorcycle gangs.
Sons of Anarchy takes on a classic Hamlet premise with a dead dad under potentially shady circumstances, a wavering prince, (or in this case vice president of the biker club), with the main character Jackson "Jax" Teller wondering what the right path for him is. Should he take the more philosophical path of his deceased predecessor or the hard core gangster approach of his mothers current husband and president of the S. O. A. biker club?
this show is mixing with feelings, and unexpected violence and behaviour. the strict code of the SoA Brotherhood, and the price one must pay for betrayal.
small minuses:
Charlie Hunnam's american accent is a bit fony, like the one he put on when he was imitating americans in "Undeclared". his "walk" is also a bit weird, but you get used to it. Ron Perlman does a great acting appearance, and Ryan Hurst may be my favorite actor in the show. if you enjoyed playing the Grand Theft Auto games, you should love this show! and if you didn't, you'll still going to like the show!
