Episode Notes |

Chad E. Donella (Greg Arkin), is one of the many guest stars to appear in the "Final Destination" movies... | Freak of the Week: Greg Arkin - abilities of a common spider. | The Fortress of Solitude
This name comes from the actual Superman comic books. In these books the Fortress contains relics of some of Superman’s battles and other personal items. Access is through a large locked door set in the side of a hill. Superman leaves the key outside the door, but since key and door are both immense, one must have Superman’s flight and strength to lift and use it, so there is little danger in doing this. Superman retires to the Fortress when he wishes to be alone or needs to solve a problem. |

Episode Quotes |
| |
Clark: Dad, something else happened to me this morning. When I woke up, I was kind of floating.
Jonathan: Floating.
Clark: As soon as I woke up I crashed. I mean, Dad, what's happening to me?
Jonathan: I honestly don't know. As soon as you start breaking the law of gravity we're definitely in uncharted territory. | Lex: Kinda makes you wonder if you're with the right guy. One chucks footballs, the other helps save lives.
Lana: For someone who just moved into town you’ve got a lot of opinions. | Lex: What is it about Kents and gifts? It's yours. Hand it to Lana. Tell her what happened. Trust me, once she opens it, you'll win her heart. That necklace gives you the power. All you've got to do is use. it. | Greg Arken: Sometimes you're the windshield. Sometimes you're the bug. | Lex: You were tied to a stake in the middle of a field! Even the Romans reserved that for special occasions; you could have died!! | Mrs. Arken: What the hell has gotten into you?
Greg: About two million years of intelligence and instinct.

Analysis |
| |
Greg Arken
Greg is probably intended as a send-up of Marvel Comics’ flagship character Spider-Man, who received his abilities after a radioactive spider bit him, and whose abilities are similar to those Greg demonstrated: great strength and agility, leaping and climbing, and webbing. In the comics Spider-Man's webs are artificially created but his other abilities are inherent. |
