Martha Clark Kent, played by Annette O'Toole
Background: Martha Kent has always been there for Clark ever since she found him along with Jonathan in the fields after the meteor shower of 1989. When Clark struggles with problems Martha reminds her son of the solutions that are filled with common sense and kindness. She is the glue that holds the Kent-boys together. Martha Kent has always believed there’s a good-heart in everyone. At one point Martha had worked as a caregiver for a handicapped Lionel Luthor, though she was later deceived by his tyranny.
Recently Martha has ordered a takeover of her late husband Jonathan’s state senate seat. She is currently the Senator of Smallville, and still able to maintain the Kent Farm for now… Currently Martha has a friendly relationship with Lionel Luthor who has manipulated her, but only time will tell before she finds out the truth about him.
