Alexander "Lex" Joseph Luthor, played by Michael Rosenbaum
Background: Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor is one of the most mysterious if not deadliest characters on Smallville. During the meteor shower Lex’s life changed forever; he had been exposed to the falling meteor rocks known as kryptonite when he was caught in an explosion that brought young Clark (Kal-El) to earth. This had caused young Luthor to lose his hair permanently. Though Lex grew up as an outcast to his peers, he suffered tragedy when his younger brother Julian died at the hand of his mother, and he suffered even more tragedy when his mother Lillian Luthor had died from a long term illness.
Though Lex grew up he never really got over his brother’s death and experienced many mental traumas because of it. We find out in Smallville that Lex is the sole heir to his father's fortune; this gives him access to many attributes of the company, plus the breaking point that will eventually turn young Lex in to the power hungry mad villain we know and love from the comics.
Lex Luthor meet’s up with Clark in the pilot episode, after he accidentally ran him over while Clark is walking home from school. Lex’s car plunges into the lake below and Clark Kent saves him… It was from this point Clark and Lex became friends. Lex now runs a 3rd of Lexcorp and his father Lionel Luthor’s business interest in Smallville. Lex has been responsible for a numerous amount of technical products in marketing in demand, ranging from weaponry and even cybernetic components. Though they benefit Lex himself; they usually ruin the people and ecosystems around him. As of this season Lex has expressed a love interest for Lana Lang, and this has put a damper on his brotherly relationship with Clark, that and his intriguing curiosity to bring back the past. Though Lex is still inching one step to becoming the mad evil enemy we know and love from the comics, the wheel has not rolled into dark territory just yet.
Powers: Because of the meteor shower Lex has the ability to heal fast, due to his high white blood cell count, he also has a knack for weaponry and is rich…
