Background: Jonathan Kent is the adoptive father of Clark, he was a man with strong moral values, and was a strong influence to Clark. Before he passed away of a heart-attack, Jonathan had raised a farm which had been in his families possession for generations. Jonathan was stubborn yet still a good and wise man. Before he died Jonathan had ran for State Senate he suceeded, but sadly he passed away right after the results were confirmed. Jonathan has had heart conditions ever since he made a deal with Jor-el and gained powers to bring his son who was under the influence of red kryptonite home. Jonathan’s heart attack was sparked by a Lionel Luthor in the episode "
Reckoning" after Lionel threaten to expose Clark’s secret… Though he is gone in flesh, he still resides in spirit with Clark and Martha. His memory will live through them forever, and everyone he has ever known will never forget him.
Powers: In the episode
"Exile" Jonathan was endowed with the powers to match red kryptonite induced Clark by Jor-el… But because of his human body not being able to handle such powers, Jonathan has had heart problems up until his death.
