Episode Quotes

Franco: Whadda ya wanna do, Lou?
Lou: What do I wanna do? What does Lou wanna do? Lou wants to sit here with a box of donuts and watch Frankenstein. That's what Lou wants to do.

Sean: Guys, you're not gonna believe it. The most beautiful woman's walking by the firehouse right now with the biggest tits I've ever seen in my life. It's like a double eclipse. Common, check it out.

Izzy: Lou, Jerry had a heart attack.
Lou: Holy shit,... how's he doing?
Izzy: He's walking around eating a Philly cheese-steak. How do you think he's doing?

Man: Excuse me. Excuse me.
Maggie: Do you mind? We're trying to get married here.
Man: You're standing on my mother, her... her grave.

Red: You got one crazy family.
Tommy's Dad: Don't tell me. I'm getting out of it.

Janet: Tommy, can we turn the music off?
Tommy: Honey, the people are enjoying it.
Janet: Well, given the circumstances, isn't this a little inappropriate?
Tommy: Okay, we just had Maggie's fourth wedding, okay, moments after we finished burying Johnny, okay. I think this entire family's... inappropriate.

Cultural References

Tommy: I'm tellin' ya, if this was an episode of Columbo, I'd be sweatin' my balls off.

Lieutenant Columbo was a character played by Peter Falk in the Columbo made for TV movies that first aired in 1968 and when on to air regularly from 1971-78 and occasionally from 1989-2003. Columbo appeared to be dim-witted and forgetful, but it was a facade to lure criminals into thinking he was incompetent. The reality was that he was paying special attention to their stories and demeanor, which ultimately led to him catching the criminals.

Lou: Mr. Potato Head style or cock like a shovel?

Mr. Potato Head is a very popular children's doll where the body is brown and shaped like a potato. The doll comes with various shoes, eyes, ears, arms, noses, etc. that allow for a wide range of different looks for the doll. It was first sold to the public in 1952 and continues to sell well now.

Father Francis: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

This is Psalm 23. It was spoken at Johnny's funeral. It is traditionally spoken a Christian funerals.
