16 :02x01 - American Duos (Jul/13/2007)
While Gus tunes in to a television favorite, a singing competition called American Duos, Shawn would rather tune it out. He is more than happy to have their viewing experience interrupted by a phone call from Juliet, asking them to come to the police station. Much to his dismay, Shawn realizes that he didn't escape the show after all. One of the judges from the program, the crass Nigel St. Nigel, is in need of Shawn's help. He has been the victim of numerous life-threatening attacks and needs protection. While Lassiter interviews all the potential suspects, Shawn and Gus must go undercover—as contestants on American Duos.

Lassiter's current hot streak has left Shawn feeling neglected by the police department. With Lassiter single-handedly solving case after case, there has been little need to bring in outside help from Shawn and Gus. However, when an unknown man washes up on shore with unusual scarring, Lassiter is stumped. Luckily, Shawn has a theory of what caused the injury—a dinosaur. Confident in his theory, Shawn and Gus set out to connect a dinosaur to the man's death.

A counterfeiter has led two federal agents on his case to Santa Barbara. While Lassiter tries to impress Special Agent Ewing, Shawn is startled to discover that the FBI has its own psychic, a woman whom he flirted with earlier. Shawn is even more surprised by the woman's impressive psychic abilities. This motivates Shawn to do everything he can to solve the case on behalf of the SBPD, and, more importantly, to prove that he is the superior psychic.

19 :02x04 - Zero to Murder in Sixty Seconds (Aug/03/2007)
Lassiter finds that his car has been stolen, but fortunately, Shawn is there to solve the case. He uses his psychic powers to identify the culprit and have him arrested. However, Shawn is not so sure that the case is over. It all seemed too easy, so he decides to investigate further. He'll have to start without Gus, though, who is enjoying a much-needed vacation. Shawn also won't get be getting any assistance from Lassiter or Juliet, who are giving a presentation at the 21st Century Law Enforcement Seminar for police officers.

20 :02x05 - And Down the Stretch Comes Murder (Aug/10/2007)
Shawn and Gus are terrified when they learn that their childhood bully, Jimmy Nickels, is coming to see them. Once he actually shows up, their fears are erased. It turns out that the once-threatening Jimmy is a now a jockey. He has recently been losing his races and wants to hire the guys to help him figure out why that is. They reluctantly accept and go to the race track to talk to the horses. However, the case gets a little more intense when another jockey dies during a race.

21 :02x06 - Meat Is Murder, but Murder Is Also Murder (Aug/17/2007)
Gus' Uncle Burton is in town. This wouldn't ordinarily be a problem, except that Gus' family has mistakenly understood him to be the psychic and Shawn his assistant. To make matters worse, Shawn invites Uncle Burton along to the crime scene so that he can see his nephew in all his psychic glory. Here, they discover a dead restaurant critic, Vance Wagner. Shawn believes that Mr. Wagner has been poisoned, and as they research who might be responsible for the crime, Uncle Burton continues to tag along. Gus is forced to keep up his charade as psychic and learns that Shawn's job isn't as easy as he may have thought.

22 :02x07 - If You're So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead? (Aug/24/2007)
Shawn and Gus go undercover as teachers of the paranormal at a school for gifted kids to investigate a possible murder. The only problem is, their clients, two students at the high school, don't have any idea about the identities of the murderer or his supposed victim. All they have to go on is a phone call they accidentally overheard a few nights ago while inside the school.

Meanwhile, Juliet's one-year probation period has ended, so she grabs the reigns and leads her own case. Coincidentally, the case that Lassiter gives her is the same one Shawn and Gus are working on.

Interim Chief Vick contacts Shawn and Gus about a very special case she has for them—she wants them to find her a nanny. Though reluctant to take the job, Shawn and Gus find Vick to be quite forceful when her anger is fueled by weeks of sleep deprivation. She explains that since they'll be working privately for her, they are not to take on any other cases. However, when Shawn discovers a string of burglaries taking place in a nice neighborhood, all in the middle of the day, he can't help but get involved.

24 :02x09 - Bounty Hunters! (Sep/14/2007)
Lassiter and Juliet lead the investigation to find Dwayne Tancana, a thief-turned-murderer who escaped police custody due to a mistake by Juliet. They soon find out that the victim's husband, angered that Tancana managed to escape, has hired a bounty hunter to find the criminal. Juliet urges Lassiter to bring Shawn and Gus on the case, and the two discover that the bounty hunter is their childhood idol, Byrd Tatums. They're even more excited to find out that the $50,000 bounty on Tancana goes to whomever catches him, so they agree to take the case and compete against Byrd for the money.

25 :02x10 - Gus' Dad May Have Killed an Old Guy (Dec/07/2007)
Christmas is closing in, but the holiday is shaping up to be anything but merry. While out Christmas caroling, Shawn and Gus discover the dead body of their old neighbor, Mr. Fuller. Though it appears to be suicide, Shawn conjectures murder. The police ultimately agree with Shawn, but all evidence points to Gus' father as the killer. Shawn and Gus set out to prove his innocence.

Since Lassiter's recent separation from his wife has left him alone, Juliet invites him over to meet her family and share in some Scottish Christmas celebrations.

26 :02x11 - There's Something About Mira (Jan/11/2008)
Gus is surprised when a woman named Mira contacts him—a woman whom he drunkenly married a decade ago. Upon meeting her, he and Shawn discover that Mira is getting married to the man she loves. She invites them to the wedding, but the groom never shows. In fact, he has been missing for the past few days. Shawn and Gus decide to take the case and find Mira's missing man. The deeper they dig, the stranger things get.

At the SBPD, Lassiter is shocked to find that Juliet scored higher than him on the detective exam. This generates a competitive spirit between the two.

27 :02x12 - The Old and the Restless (Jan/18/2008)
Shawn and Gus investigate the disappearance of a man from Glorious Pines, an upscale retirement community. The tight security in the facility prohibits them from being able to get inside, so they pass Henry off as their (crazy) grandfather and check him in to a room. As they get closer to solving the case, more residents fall victim to some unexplained occurrences.

The mayor has a special case for Lassiter and Juliet. They must supervise a juvenile delinquent, which Lassiter uses as an opportunity to scare the boy straight.

The star of a Spanish telenovela has been murdered by another actor on the show. Juliet and Lassiter believe it to be an open-and-shut case. The murderer, however, insists that it was an accident and claims that the prop knife was switched with a real knife without his knowledge. Shawn and Gus believe that he was framed and investigate the crime. Gus is especially excited to be working on the set of his favorite soap opera, but it's Shawn who gets a recurring role on the show.

Henry bails on his weekend outing with Shawn, stating that he's too ill to leave the house. Shawn is nowhere near upset until he and Gus catch Henry driving by, clearly not sick at all. Naturally, they follow him and discover he used to be a member of the Monarch Lodge, a clandestine society. They barge inside looking for an explanation and are surprised to find one of the Lodge members lying dead before them. Shawn suspects murder, and in order to conduct an inside investigation, he becomes a member of the society.

30 :02x15 - Black and Tan: A Crime of Fashion (Feb/08/2008)
It's Gus' birthday, so Shawn takes him to the launch party for Ciao clothing's new fall line. While Gus tries to make a move on his favorite model, one of the owners of Ciao is suddenly electrocuted via the stage's microphone. Shawn is certain that his death was no accident. Unfortunately, Lassiter and Juliet find the witnesses, all models, to be unhelpful, so Shawn and Gus move in to the loft where the Ciao models live. They all believe that Gus has also done work as a model, but they doubt Shawn. Shawn also has to deal with his father's possible new romance with one of Chief Vick's friends.

Lassiter and Juliet get called to a museum to investigate the disappearance of a 3,000-year-old mummy. Lassiter insists it's just a prank that's not worth his time. He's busy working on another case involving the death of philanthropist William Wyles III. However, the assistant curator insists that something weird is going on, something possibly supernatural that requires special help. Shawn is then brought in on the case, and he declares that the mummy was not stolen—it walked away on its own.
