'Prison' break may be on the way

The actors on the Fox drama have been notified by 20th TV that the filming schedule might be extended to accommodate production of two additional episodes.
"Prison" writers are yet to pitch ideas about the extra hours, but speculation is that they might serve as a conclusion to the four-year series.
If the two episodes are made, their fate is unclear as the network has not committed yet to air them, though conversations with the studio are under way.
Fox might run the bonus material as two additional episodes in the spring, though that is considered unlikely because "Prison" has struggled in the ratings this fall and the remaining six episodes of its original 22-show order weren't on the network's recently released midseason schedule.
A more plausible scenario has Fox airing the two episodes as a two-hour "event" next season, not unlike the "24" prequel this fall. Or the episodes might end up on the "Prison Break" DVD. |
It'll be a shame to see the show go if it is in fact on the chopping block. Season 4 has been far better than last season ... hopefully it'll at least get the ending it deserves. |

I actually saw this coming weeks ago. Since the beginning of this current season, ratings went down from 6 million to a little over 5 million viewers. Sadly, this season has been a great one, and it'd be a shame to see this show go, but what can you do? Business is business. |

It needed to end this season anyway. Not that it hasn't been superb but more down to the fact that it does feel like it's run it's course and does seem to be gearing towards some sort of conclusion. But let it finish the story over the next 22 episodes as planned, the show deserves that much |

Yeah, the show does need to end. I love my Prison Break more than any other show, but I don't want it to jump the shark, which is what it'll do if it's dragged out anymore. The company needs to go down and everybody needs to walk off into the sunset. Except for T-bag, who needs a bullet in his skull. |

Just saw that on E! Online. But the quote they had from the producers said the ending will be awesome, which is good. With a season as good as this, they definitely need a good, solid ending. |

Yeah, I will miss Prison Break, but I'm glad they're ending it before it gets too ridiculous and far fetched. I don't want another 24. |
