P.O.V. is an independent film series for PBS. The show began airing in 1988 and mainly shows American stories through the eyes of documentary filmmakers, writers, historians, and others who film conversations about themes and topics relevant to P.O.V.'s non-fiction premise.

Having lost custody of their children, two parents fight to win back the trust of the courts and reunite their families. Acknowledging their past parenting mistakes, both contend with a complex bureaucracy to prove they deserve a second chance.
