In an episode written by series star Chad Michael Murray, classic films are given a nod when Karen's Cafe is transformed into a nightclub with Lucas as its proprietor.

[Sneak Peek]

Just as a note, the episode is written by Chad Michael Murray, so it's probably going to be a complete train wreck.

Yup, it was as terrible as I thought it would be. The costumes and the '40s settings were kinda fun, but the dialogue was all sorts of terrible and cheesy. But Dan's performance (despite the crap dialogue) was awesome. He's so good at being evil.

Peyton collapsing at the end (in the present) was kind of shocking. I wonder what's wrong with her.

I haven't seen this yet, but is this considered canon? Or is it one of those goofy unrelated to the rest of the episodes things?

All of it except for the last few minutes are completely unrelated. Apparently Lucas dreams the whole thing. Most of the scenes reference other things that happened (Nathan and Haley getting married, Dan killing Keith, etc.), just set in the 1940s instead.
