Season 1

The first season never saw completion, with only six episodes aired and four more that were later released on DVD and appeared in the SciFi Channel. The overarcing theme was the hunt for those responsible for Kolchak's wife, but that plotline only really featured in three episodes for sure. Much of the season dealt with Kolchak coming to terms with his wife's death, and the aftermath of that death. The season also introduced Kolchak, his co-workers at the Beacon, and started to hint at the mysteries of the evil red mark and the secret "pyramid" group that was its "good" counterpart.
