Episode Recap

Perri is trying to locate Linda Caleca when Vincenzo comes to her trying to find Jain. They check in with his friend and staff techie Edhead who tells them that he went to Koreatown at Carl's request. They get word of a shooting at a Korean grocery and head there to find Bernard Fain investigating the murders. They find Fain inside along with the dead Caleca and a Korean in a closet. Jain explains that he talked to Caleca who revealed he was talking over the phone with Agent Walton... after the latter had been confirmed dead. The four mystery motorcyclists arrived and gunned down Caleca then went after Jain, who tried to hide in a closet but found it locked. He ducked under a cot and the killers shot through the closet door, killing an assistant who hid there. Dae arrives and seeing the dead Caleca, breaks down crying.

With Caleca dead, Fain has no choice but to release Carl since they don't need his source. Meanwhile, Dae finds Caleca's bracelet, which he hid in the cash register.

At the Beacon, Perri gives Carl a hard time for using an anonymous source. He admits that he's been out of his head thinking he had a lead on Irene's murder. Jain and Edhead reveal that Caleca's wife Linda disappeared in a manner similar to Irene. However, they've managed to locate her by tracing her calls. While Edhead tries to pin Linda down, Carl takes Perri and Jain to the building where he talked with his source on a cell phone... only to find that it's disappeared. Perri wonders who Carl has been talking to but Jain confirms that Victor Caleca spoke to a dead man as well. They decide to talk to Dae, who is moving in with her mother Soo who lives by the sea. Dae denies knowing anything about Linda Caleca but gives them Victor's bracelet. She doesn't know if Victor had the red mark on his wrist, much to Carl's disappointment.

Examining the bracelet, Perri identifies it as a Kabbalah string. Meanwhile, Edhead calls and tells them she's located Linda at a hotel near the pay phone from earlier. It turns out LInda is staying at several hotels, changing them seemingly at random. However, Carl notices knots on Victor's bracelet that act as a calender, indicating how many days she stays at each hotel. They figure out which hotel she'll be at next and head there, unaware that Fain is trailing them.

Everyone gets to the hotel just as Linda shows up. Carl and Perri go to talk to her while Jain waits outside, where he notices the motorcyclists coming. Carl gets Perri and Linda behind the hotel desk while the motorcyclists and the FBI exchange fire. The motorcyclists are immune to gunfire and devastate the FBI agents, while Fain calls for reinforcements. One of the killers goes after Carl and the others, who escape out a rear window and get to Carl's car to make their escape. Their prey gone and the FBI agents decimated, the motorcyclists drive away while Jain snaps photos.

Vincenzo tries to locate Carl and Perri when Fain arrives and demands Jain's photos as well as access to the Beacon's phones. Vincenzo refuses, realizing the FBI agent released Carl so he could follow the reporter to Linda. When Fain tries to threaten Vincenzo with his job, Tony orders him out and tells Jain to get Edhead.

Carl and Perri hide out with Linda in a motel cabin in the woods. They give her the news that her husband is dead and she explains that she had a dream where he came to her and said she wouldn't see him again. Victor and Agent Walton faked her death to protect her from the drug lord, Morales, but she has no idea who the motorcyclists are or why they want her dead.

At the Beacon, Jain develops his photos and identifies two of them as ex-cons: "ex" because they were confirmed killed in a shootout two weeks ago.

Perri and Linda discuss Carl and can't determine why anyone would have directed him to Linda. they're interrupted by the manager, who seems inordinately curious and ends up writing down their license number and calls Fain. Edhead tracks the call and lets Vincenzo and Jain know what hotel the FBI agent is heading for.

Carl finally explains to Perri that he has a mark on his wrist, a mark he was born with. He's the only living person he knows who has the mark: every other time he's seen it has been on a corpse. Vincenzo calls to warn them but the motorcyclists arrive and burst into the cabin... only to find the trio has escaped. Carl runs into the woods to draw them away while Perri and Linda head for his car. The motorcyclists catch Carl in the woods and prepare to shoot him... but when he holds up his hand they see the mark on his wrist, they leave, sparing him. Carl goes back to the hotel where Fain demands answers, but Carl has no idea what's going on.

Later at the Beacon, Carl and Perri claim that Linda slipped away from them, while Carl lies so he doesn't have to explain why the motorcyclists spared him... as a possible ally.

Three months later, Dae is now staying with mother Soo by the sea. They are also providing shelter to Linda, pregnant with Victor's child.
