After many, many seemingly pointless missions Naruto's group is finally given a more interesting mission. They are to escort man named Tazuna safely to a village in Country of Waves.They have barely started their journey when they are attacked by two ninjas. It's time for their first real fight!

The scene where Naruto stab himself with a kunai knife was edited (it put more focus on the kunai instead of the kunai going into his hand.)

This episode starts the Wave Country arc.

Introduces Zabuza, Tazuna, and Guato.

Tazuna: Huh? A bunch of snot-nosed kids? And you, the little one with the idiotic look on your face, you really expect me to believe you're a ninja?
Naruto: Ha ha ha ha ha! Who's the little one with the idiotic look on his...huh?
(Sasuke and Sakura step closer to Naruto to show him he's the shortest.)
Naruto: I'll demolish you! Let me get my hands on him!

Iruka: How dare you?! You're just a brand-new Genin with no experience! Like everyone else, you start with simple missions to develop your skills and prove yourself!
Naruto: Are you serious?! Babysitting is not a mission! It's just stupid...
(Kakashi punches Naruto in the head)
Kakashi: Will you put a lid on it?

Sakura: Lord Hokage must be really important!
Inner Sakura: Is that old man really such a big deal? I'm not buying it!
Naruto: (Thinking) I got him with my Sexy Jutsu; he can't be that great! Believe it!
Kakashi: Hey! You all just doubted Lord Hokage, didn't you?! That's what you were thinking!
(Sakura and Naruto shake their heads while panicking.)

Kakashi: Naruto uh, that was really cool how you took the poison out and all...but uh, if you lose any more blood, you're going to die.
(Naruto's face begin to turn blue as he stares at his wound)
Kakashi: (While winking) Good idea to stop the bleeding now, seriously.
