The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 - Recap
<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->It's cider-time in Ponyville and Rainbow Dash wakes Fluttershy early in the morning to arrive at the cider stall before Pinkie Pie does, since Pinky Pie always buys so much cider that Rainbow Dash does not get any. When arriving at the stall though Pinkie Pie is seen to have camped there all night with a lot of ponies doing the same, forcing Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy at the end of the line. When the stall opens, the cider runs out day after day before Rainbow Dash can buy any.
One day after the stall runs out of cider again, the Flim Flam Brothers (Flim and Flam) arrive at the scene with their "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000", a cider-making factory integrated in a locomotive. They sing a musical number about it and offer their services to the Apple family in exchange for 75% of the profits. The Apples decline and, baited by the brothers' remarks, Granny Smith challenges them to a duel for their farm and the sole right to sell cider in Ponyville.
The next day the duel goes badly for the Apples who are only able to produce one barrel of cider compared to the brothers' three until Applejack's friends join to help. Soon the Apple-team produces five barrels to Flim and Flam's three; terrified to lose, Flim and Flam increase the production speed and deactivate the machine's quality control unit.
They finish first and win the challenge but when the ponies try their cider, they are disgusted and force them to flee the town.
Letter to the princess:
Applejack writes that she has learned nothing, because she already knew that she has great friends.
