So, as has been highly publicized this year, the penultimate episode of the series will feature the return of Sharona Fleming, Monk's original assistant.

Setting aside the real-life issues behind Ms. Schram's departure, what does the return of her character signify? Will the writers have Sharona and Natalie originally rub each other the wrong way, but ultimately find a deep kinship and unite against their boss? (i.e., Hollywood writing 101)?

Or will they like each other immediately?

Or will they initially dislike each other and then... keep on dislike each other?

Or something else?

Speculation welcome. Please try to avoid any actual spoilers if/when they become available.

She was reunited with her ex-husband and moved back to New Jersey, in Mr. Monk and the Red Herring.

Oh, sorry, I should have mentioned that they've already taken a shot at the concept in the novel Mr. Monk and the Two Assistants. I haven't read it yet, though. Her husband ends up in prison for a crime he (presumably) didn't commit.
